Welcome!

***Attention*** our official launch date is September 30, 2009…the countdown continues!

Hello world,
This blog is intended to bring to light the impact of the financial crisis on American Libraries, librarians, and patrons.

Discussions will be as diverse as the effects of libraries being forced to reduce work hours and staff, to the results of shrinking budgets congruent with increased library use.

Come join our conversation - we want to know what you think!

The Stimulibrarian blog is brought to you in part by five dedicated MLIS students (your future librarians) at Wayne State University.

"The best reading for the largest numbers, at the least expense." Melvil Dewey

  1. Hi Stimulibrarian! Overall I think you blog is GREAT! I really like your simple layout with the fun colors. Your group also did a good job of adding a lot of images to your individual posts.

All the blogs are well written. I especially like the use of links within the actual blogs. You all did a great job of exploring your topic.

Great choice of widgets! I really enjoy the be cool and the video bar.

I only see room for improvement in a couple of areas. Your Sociable-Share this Blog! is currently not working. Also, within your blog I would try to include more thought provoking questions are topics to discuss.

Great job and thanks for the feedback on the Diversity blog.
